Sundays Guided 9:30am at Simply Yoga (Woodland Plaza North Fort Wayne)
What is the Mysore method?
The Mysore method is essentially a self practice within a group setting. Mysore style is named after the city, Mysore which is located in Southern India in the state of Karnataka. This is the city where Pattabhi Jois and his family teach, where I travel to and study with my teacher, Sharath Jois. Yoga is a direct experience, a self practice grounded in the Ashtanga tradition, is how a student can experience this state called “yoga.”
About Sunday’s class:
Sunday at 9:30am we have a Guided class. This is a verbal, group-led class covering the first part of the Ashtanga primary series. We meet at a yoga studio up North Fort Wayne called Simply Yoga.
